Des. Erasmi Rot. In Epistolas Apostolicas Paraphrasis (1542) is a book written by the renowned Dutch philosopher and theologian, Desiderius Erasmus. The book is a paraphrase of the letters written by the Apostles of Jesus Christ in the New Testament of the Bible. Erasmus' paraphrase is a unique interpretation of the letters and provides a fresh perspective on the teachings of the Apostles. The book is written in Latin and was first published in 1542. Erasmus was known for his critical approach to the Bible and his desire to make it more accessible to the general public. In this book, he uses his skills as a scholar and linguist to provide a clear and concise interpretation of the letters. The book is divided into sections, each corresponding to a specific letter. Erasmus provides a brief introduction to each letter and then goes on to paraphrase it, providing his own interpretation of the text. Des. Erasmi Rot. In Epistolas Apostolicas Paraphrasis is a significant work in the history of biblical interpretation and has had a lasting impact on the way the New Testament is understood. It is a must-read for scholars of theology and anyone interested in the history of biblical interpretation. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
