The War And After (1918) is a historical book written by Oliver Lodge that explores the events leading up to World War I, the war itself, and its aftermath. The book is divided into two parts, with the first part focusing on the causes and events leading up to the war. Lodge examines the political tensions and alliances that existed between the major European powers, as well as the social and economic factors that contributed to the outbreak of war.In the second part of the book, Lodge discusses the war itself and its impact on Europe and the world. He examines the various battles and strategies employed by the different sides, as well as the social and economic effects of the war on the countries involved. Lodge also discusses the peace negotiations that took place after the war, including the Treaty of Versailles, and the impact of these negotiations on the future of Europe.Throughout the book, Lodge provides detailed analysis and commentary on the events and people involved in the war, drawing on a wide range of sources and perspectives. He also reflects on the broader implications of the war, including its impact on international relations, politics, and society. Overall, The War And After (1918) is a comprehensive and insightful account of one of the most significant events in modern history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
