""The Rise of the Dutch Kingdom, 1795-1813"" is a historical account of the early development of modern-day Netherlands. Written by Hendrik Willem Van Loon, the book covers the period between 1795 and 1813, when the Dutch Republic was overthrown by French revolutionary forces and the country was subsequently transformed into a kingdom under the rule of King Louis Bonaparte. Van Loon provides a detailed examination of the political, social, and economic factors that contributed to the rise of the Dutch Kingdom during this period. He explores the impact of the French Revolution on Dutch society, the role of key figures such as Napoleon Bonaparte and William I, and the various wars and conflicts that shaped the country's development. The book also delves into the cultural and artistic achievements of the era, including the rise of Dutch literature, art, and music. Overall, ""The Rise of the Dutch Kingdom"" offers a comprehensive and engaging account of a pivotal period in Dutch history, shedding light on the country's transformation from a republic to a modern monarchy. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
