Songs of Praise: Composed from the Holy Scriptures (1776) is a book of hymns written by John Peacock. The hymns are based on passages from the Bible and are intended to be sung in Christian worship services. The book is divided into sections, each focusing on a different theme, such as salvation, redemption, and praise. The hymns are written in a simple and straightforward style, with an emphasis on the power and majesty of God. Some of the hymns are set to traditional tunes, while others have new melodies composed by Peacock. The book was originally published in 1776 and was widely used in churches throughout England and the United States. Today, it is considered a classic of Christian hymnody and is still used in some churches as a source of inspiration and worship. In Two Parts.
