Terrae-Filius Or The Secret History Of The University Of Oxford: In Several Essays (1754) is a collection of essays written by Nicholas Amhurst. The book provides a satirical and critical look at the University of Oxford during the 18th century. Amhurst, who was a student at the university, uses his experiences to shed light on the corruption, hypocrisy, and immorality that he witnessed. The essays cover a range of topics, including the behavior of students and professors, the curriculum, and the politics of the university. The book was controversial at the time of its publication and caused a stir among the academic community. It is now considered an important work of satire and social commentary. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
