The book ""Life of John Knox: Containing Illustrations of the History of the Reformation in Scotland"" by Thomas McCrie was originally published in 1813 and reissued in 1873. It is a comprehensive biography of the Scottish Protestant reformer John Knox, who played a key role in the Scottish Reformation in the 16th century. The book provides a detailed account of Knox's life, from his childhood and education to his involvement in the Protestant movement and his leadership of the Church of Scotland. McCrie also delves into the political and social context of the Scottish Reformation, providing a vivid picture of the religious and political turmoil of the time. The book is richly illustrated with historical documents, portraits, and maps, making it a valuable resource for scholars and anyone interested in the history of Scotland and the Protestant Reformation. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
