The author also explores Gainsborough's personal life, including his marriage to Margaret Burr, his relationships with other artists and patrons, and his struggles with financial difficulties. Throughout the book, Fulcher provides detailed accounts of Gainsborough's most famous works, including portraits of King George III and Queen Charlotte, as well as landscapes such as The Harvest Wagon and The Watering Place. The author also discusses Gainsborough's artistic style and techniques, and provides insights into his creative process.
