would like to see more on causes of sensory impairment in children- important that practitioners are aware of these and the impact they have on child development
feel this is a good comprehensive text however to be able to be maximised within children's services which I am reviewing this text for, it does need to have more of a focus across the age ranges with specific mention on the impact on all aspects of development in the children's chapter, strategies that could be used to enhance development, the needs of children with dual sensory impairment and also those children who also have additional learning disabilities - the importance of augmentative and alternative communication strategies. good to see safeguarding children scenario included Eileen Wake drupal 20110622
