The Ulster Loyalists: A Reply To The Speeches Of The Reverend Dr. Kane And Mr. G. Hill Smith (1886) is a book written by Bryan Lynch. The book is a response to the speeches delivered by Reverend Dr. Kane and Mr. G. Hill Smith, who were both advocates of the Home Rule movement in Ireland. The Ulster Loyalists is a defense of the Ulster Loyalist community in Northern Ireland, who were opposed to Home Rule and the potential separation of Ireland from the United Kingdom. Lynch argues that the Ulster Loyalists were not simply reactionary or obstructionist, but were motivated by a deep sense of loyalty to the British Crown and a desire to maintain their place within the United Kingdom. He also challenges the claims made by Kane and Smith, arguing that they do not accurately represent the views or experiences of the Ulster Loyalist community. Overall, The Ulster Loyalists provides a historical perspective on the political and social tensions in Ireland during the late 19th century, and sheds light on the complex motivations and beliefs of the Ulster Loyalist community. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
