The Life of Lorenzo de Medici V2: Called The Magnificent is a historical biography written by William Roscoe and originally published in 1797. The book is the second volume of a two-part series that chronicles the life and achievements of Lorenzo de Medici, a prominent figure in Renaissance Italy. Roscoe's work provides a comprehensive account of Lorenzo's life, including his family background, education, political career, and patronage of the arts. The book also explores Lorenzo's relationships with other influential figures of the time, such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. In addition to its focus on Lorenzo de Medici, the book offers insights into the social, cultural, and political context of Renaissance Italy. Roscoe's writing is highly detailed and well-researched, drawing on a range of primary sources to provide a vivid picture of life in the 15th century. Overall, The Life of Lorenzo de Medici V2: Called The Magnificent is a valuable resource for anyone interested in Italian history, Renaissance art and culture, and the lives of prominent historical figures. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
