The Celestial And Ecclesiastical Hierarchy Of Dionysius The Areopagite is a book written by Dionysius Areopagita and originally published in 1894. The book is a detailed exploration of the celestial and ecclesiastical hierarchy as described by Dionysius, a Christian theologian and philosopher from the late 5th to early 6th century. The book is divided into two main sections: the celestial hierarchy and the ecclesiastical hierarchy. The celestial hierarchy describes the nine orders of angels, their functions, and their relationship to God. The ecclesiastical hierarchy describes the structure of the Christian Church, including the roles of bishops, priests, and deacons.Throughout the book, Dionysius draws on both Christian and Neoplatonic philosophy to explain his ideas. He also references biblical passages and other Christian writings to support his arguments. The Celestial And Ecclesiastical Hierarchy Of Dionysius The Areopagite has been influential in Christian theology and philosophy since its publication. It is considered a key text in the development of Christian mysticism and has been studied by theologians, philosophers, and scholars for centuries. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
