Children and adults who love them will delight in reading and re-reading this tale of Cat. The author's illustrations make the story even more pleasurable and invite additional reflections by readers. --Relma Hargus, Kids Avenue, The Advocate, Baton Rouge, Louisiana A touching book demonstrating the positive power of belonging and home. A wonderful resource to explore and enjoy with young children. The author's illustrations add to the book's charm. --Pam Williams, Minister of Education, Broadmoor Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, Louisiana Many years ago my daughter's cat had a litter of kitten under her bed. We could hear the soft purring of the mother cat as she lovingly cared for her babies. I was asked, "What makes a cat purr, mother?" I answered, "Love, Lisa, you are hearing the sound of love." This book is a delightful and heartwarming tale of an abandoned cat. Follow Cat as she discovers that she isn't like the other cats. She doesn't make this funny rumbling sound. What must Cat do to find love? How will she find her purr?
