More RTBR capitalizes on both the popularity of Readers Theatre for Beginning Readers and the emphasis on fluency due to the recommendations of the National Reading Panel. Further, the fact that many classrooms now have ESL students or struggling readers provides a demand for more easy scripts. The introduction includes a brief overview of how to get started with Readers Theatre, with particular attention to the needs of young students.
