""Christopher Columbus: His Life And His Work"" by Charles Kendall Adams is a comprehensive biography of the famous explorer Christopher Columbus. The book covers Columbus's life from his birth in Genoa, Italy, in 1451 to his death in Valladolid, Spain, in 1506. The author details Columbus's early life, his motivations for exploration, and his voyages to the New World. The book also explores Columbus's impact on world history, including his role in the Columbian Exchange, the spread of European culture to the Americas, and the beginning of the Transatlantic slave trade. Adams provides a balanced view of Columbus's achievements and shortcomings, including his treatment of native peoples and his controversial legacy today. Overall, ""Christopher Columbus: His Life And His Work"" is a well-researched and engaging biography that sheds light on one of the most important figures in world history. It is a must-read for anyone interested in Columbus, exploration, or the early history of the Americas. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
