Caesar's Gallic War is a book written by J.H. Allen in 1890. It is a historical account of Julius Caesar's conquest of Gaul (modern-day France) during the years 58-50 BCE. The book is based on Caesar's own writings, which were published as Commentarii de Bello Gallico. The book provides a detailed and vivid description of Caesar's military campaigns in Gaul, including his battles against the Helvetii, the Belgae, the Germans, and the Gauls themselves. It also includes information about the political and social conditions of Gaul at the time, as well as Caesar's own personal experiences and observations. The book is written in a clear and concise style, making it accessible to both scholars and general readers. It is a valuable resource for anyone interested in ancient history, military strategy, or the life of Julius Caesar. Overall, Caesar's Gallic War is a fascinating and informative account of one of the most significant military campaigns in history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
