After Dark

After Dark feels much like a late night talk with your best friends and creates the same peaceful, yet slightly unsettling atmosphere of walking through empty streets in the dead of night. Nothing gets resolved - except the enigmatic inner struggles of the characters we come in contact with. Murakami is a true wordsmith and made this novel a therapeautic and simultaneously comforting reading experience. I could read this mans work and never get bored of it. There’s always something deep and true to his stories and metaphors, no matter how far-fetched or obscure.

the first book written by Haruki Murakami, that I've read...and I must say I want more... It may not be 5 stars worth, but it is good, for there is something about Murakami... one can't describe it )))) have fun!
