""Yorkshire Writers: Richard Rolle Of Hampole, An English Father Of The Church And His Followers"" is a book that explores the life and work of Richard Rolle, a prominent English mystic and theologian who lived in the 14th century. The book delves into Rolle's background, his religious beliefs, and his impact on the Church during his lifetime. The book also examines the works of Rolle's followers, who were inspired by his teachings and sought to continue his legacy. These writers include the anonymous author of ""The Cloud of Unknowing"" and Walter Hilton, who wrote ""The Ladder of Perfection"".Throughout the book, the author provides historical context for the writings of Rolle and his followers, and offers insights into their significance within the broader context of English literature and religious history. The book is a comprehensive resource for anyone interested in the life and work of Richard Rolle and the Yorkshire writers who followed in his footsteps. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
