The Curved Blades is a mystery novel by American author Carolyn Wells, first published in 1916. The story follows the investigation of a murder that takes place in a wealthy New York City household. The victim is a young woman named Marjorie Wylie, who is found dead in her bedroom with a pair of curved blades beside her. The prime suspect is her fianc¿¿¿¿¿, Jack Glenning, who was seen arguing with her the night before. However, there are several other suspects in the case, including Marjorie's jealous sister, her stepmother, and a mysterious stranger who was seen lurking around the house. The investigation is led by detective Fleming Stone, who must unravel the complex web of relationships and motives in order to solve the case. Along the way, he encounters several twists and turns, including a second murder and a surprising revelation about the identity of the killer. The Curved Blades is a classic whodunit that will keep readers guessing until the very end. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
