""Selections From The Latin Poets: Catullus, Lucretius, Tibullus, Propertius, Ovid And Lucan"" is a collection of poetry by six renowned Latin poets, edited by Edward Payson Crowell. The book features selected works from each poet, providing readers with a glimpse into the rich and varied world of Latin poetry. The poets featured in the book are Catullus, known for his witty and erotic verses; Lucretius, famous for his philosophical poem ""On the Nature of Things""; Tibullus, who wrote elegies and love poems; Propertius, who also wrote love poems but with a more serious tone; Ovid, whose works include the epic poem ""Metamorphoses""; and Lucan, who wrote the epic poem ""Pharsalia"". The book is a perfect introduction to the world of Latin poetry, providing readers with a taste of the beauty and complexity of this ancient literary tradition. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
