The Official Records of Robert Dinwiddie Volume 1 is a historical book that compiles the official records of Robert Dinwiddie, who served as the Lieutenant-Governor of the Colony of Virginia from 1751 to 1758. The book contains a detailed account of the political and administrative activities of Dinwiddie during his tenure, including his efforts to promote economic growth and manage the relations between the British and Native American communities in Virginia. The records also shed light on Dinwiddie's role in the French and Indian War, which was a significant conflict that took place during his time as governor. The book is a valuable resource for historians and scholars interested in the history of Virginia, the British Empire, and the colonial period in North America. It is written by Robert Dinwiddie himself and provides an authentic and first-hand account of the events that occurred during his time in office. Now First Printed From The Manuscript In The Collections Of The Virginia Historical Society.
