""Sir Guy of Warwick"" is a Middle English romance that tells the story of a knight named Guy who falls in love with a noblewoman named Felice. Guy goes on a series of adventures and battles to prove his worth to Felice and win her hand in marriage. Along the way, he fights dragons, giants, and other mythical creatures, and even travels to the Holy Land to fight in the Crusades. The romance was popular in the medieval period and has been adapted and retold many times over the centuries. This particular edition, edited by Gordon Hall Gerould, includes the original Middle English text alongside a modern English translation, as well as extensive notes and commentary on the historical and literary context of the romance. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
