The Diary of Cotton Mather 1681-1709 Volume 1 is a historical document that provides a unique insight into the life and times of one of the most prominent figures in early American history. Cotton Mather was a Puritan minister, theologian, and author who lived in Boston during the late 17th and early 18th centuries. This volume is a transcription of Mather's personal diary, which he kept from the age of 19 until his death at the age of 65. The diary is a fascinating account of Mather's daily life, his thoughts and beliefs, and his interactions with the people around him. It offers a window into the world of colonial New England, with its religious fervor, social hierarchies, and political tensions. The diary covers a wide range of topics, from Mather's religious studies and sermons to his observations on the natural world and his personal relationships. He writes about his struggles with sin and temptation, his efforts to live a virtuous life, and his encounters with other notable figures of the time, such as Increase Mather and Benjamin Franklin. The Diary of Cotton Mather 1681-1709 Volume 1 is a valuable resource for historians, scholars, and anyone interested in the early history of America. It provides a firsthand account of the experiences and beliefs of one of the most influential figures of the colonial period, and sheds light on the social, cultural, and religious dynamics of the time. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
