Tom Swift And His Air Scout is a novel written by Victor Appleton. It is the 22nd book in the Tom Swift series, which follows the adventures of a young inventor named Tom Swift. In this book, Tom is working on a new invention called the Air Scout, which is a small, lightweight airplane that he hopes will revolutionize air travel. As Tom works on perfecting the Air Scout, he is approached by a group of businessmen who want to buy the rights to his invention. Tom is hesitant to sell, but when he learns that the businessmen are actually spies working for a foreign government, he realizes that he must keep the Air Scout out of their hands at all costs.Tom and his friends use the Air Scout to embark on a series of daring adventures, including a trip to a remote island where they discover a hidden treasure. Along the way, they must outsmart the foreign spies who are hot on their trail. With its thrilling action and innovative technology, Tom Swift And His Air Scout is a classic adventure story that will appeal to readers of all ages.Any one who has taken a flight in an aeroplane or gone up in a balloon, will know exactly how Mary Nestor felt on this, her first sky ride of any distance. For a moment, as she looked over the side of the machine, she had a distinct impression, not that she was going up, but that some one had pulled the earth down from beneath her and, at the same time, given her a shove off into space. Such is the first sensation of going aloft. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
