Fishin' Jimmy by Annie Trumbull Slosson is a heartwarming tale of a young boy named Jimmy who loves to fish. Set in the countryside of New York, the book follows Jimmy's adventures as he spends his days fishing in the nearby streams and ponds. He is a skilled fisherman, and his love for fishing is contagious, as he teaches his friends and family the art of fishing. The book also explores the bond between Jimmy and his grandfather, who is a retired fisherman. Together, they share their love of fishing and spend time together in the great outdoors. The book is beautifully written and captures the essence of rural life in America. It is a delightful read for both children and adults who love nature and the simple pleasures of life.1889. By G. F-R. and A.F.B. Slosson, a widely acclaimed author of short stories, writes one of the most tender and pathetic of all angling stories, Fishin' Jimmy. The story begins: It was on the margin of Pond Brook, just back of Uncle Eben's that I first saw Fishin' Jimmy. It was early June, and we were again at Franconia, that peaceful little village among the northern hills. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
