When unexpected debris from outer space crashes onto their peaceful planet, the Clangers explore these strange arrivals with curiosity and wonder. The Clangers decide to collect all the pieces of a broken machine and mend it. Once all the bits are put together, the machine begins to uncontrollably pop out plastic items from hats to tea pots. The Clangers' home begins to overflow with the machine's creations. Needing to act quickly, the Clangers ask the Froglets to help them. All the plastic bits vanish when everyone throws the plastic items into the magical top hat. With the aid of their friends, the Clangers' home is clean once more.
