It's always impressive when someone bares their most intimate life story to the world. Jennette McCurdy did so with courage and humor, and she nailed it! Deeply emotional and brutally honest she reveals the story of a toxic relationship with her mother, her struggle with eating disorders and alcohol abuse, and a life in the spotlight that was forced upon her. Yet she tells her story with a certain lightness, a pointed language and in her own humorous manner, while not compromising the depth of what she wants to convey. I was completely captivated and could not put this book down. Let’s hope Jennette McCurdy has found her voice and happiness in writing, and that more is yet to come!
