This story is magical, reminiscent of Kiki's delivery service, but with darker undertones and spookier storylines that make you shudder in the way a good eerie story makes you enjoy it with all your senses. The only reason I give four but not five stars, is that I personally don't like when the narrator talks to me directly. But tbf. I didn't mind it as much because Don Martin did it in moderation. Plus I do believe that the writer is only at the start of a promising career, as his craft a room to grow. But what a joy it will be to see him just do it with his following Verity Vox stories. So, go read it for some whimsical, musical story about a witch in training.
