This book is incredibly written - Silvera leads us into the life of Aaron, who has not had it very easy. In the beginning we as a reader may even think this is the regular young adult novel - but all too soon this will change with the realisation that Aaron is not only coping with the loss of his father but with himself, his identity and the crisis to find his own happiness amongst a society which is not very open minded or supportive. Though this may sound vague (because it would contain a major spoiler if this was more detailed), if you ever find yourself wanting to read something that will suck you into its story, suprise you and will make you think about society and tolerance towards anything that is not considered the norm, this is the book for you.
