„No Mourners. No Funerals.“

Leigh Bardugo's "Crooked Kingdom" is the nerve-wracking conclusion to the "Six of Crows" duology.

After having successfully managed to pull an almost impossible heist Kaz Brekker's group of delinquents should be happy and rich beyond their wildest dreams. But not only have they been conned, Inej has been kidnapped, too. Not being the forgiving type, Kaz swears to get Inej back and avenge his team. And believe you me, Kaz is not someone you'd want to be angry with you, after all he's known as "Dirtyhands" for a reason.

Even though it starts at a slower pace than its predecessor, "Crooked Kingdom" hooks its reader almost immediately. This sequel is action-packed, elaborate and full of unpredictable twists and turns. Apart from the storyline itself, which I loved, I appreciated the fact that the book offers more information about the characters' pasts.

I immensely enjoyed reading this series and recommend it wholeheartedly to every fan of the fantasy-genre.

“Crooked Kingdom” is the sequel to “Six of Crows” by #1 New York Times bestselling author Leigh Bardugo.

Beside the stunning beauty of Crooked Kingdom, this second book in Leigh Bardugo’s thrilling duology amazed me once again.

I was getting into this book with very high expectations after finishing Six of Crows and I honestly have to say that there was barely anything that I didn’t love. I admire the setting of these books so much and I still was extremely attached to the characters.

Leigh accomplished to exceed my expectations. I drowned in her overwhelming writing style, that once again threw me head first into Ketterdam, almost making me part of Kaz’ crew of outcasts.

In this sequel we get the full force of Kaz Brekker’s talent for creating confusion and baffling everyone who ever dared to doubt him. There was corruption and betrayal all over the place, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from Kaz and his gang.
The strong bond between the main six characters is one of the best things about this book. Besides the recurrent ruthlessness, the epic fights and the slow burning romances, of course.

Even better than Six of Crows

Amazing, even better than the first one, still ingenious, still wonderful characters and while I can understand that some people might be bothered by the character death the ending was simply perfect.
