A Design of Dynamic Robotic-Arm controller using Raspberry pi 2

Project based learning

In the present era, Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge. We made a robot capable of surveillance and also with an alternate application in detecting and following a pre specified object. The detection and recognition has been done using Matlab. The main aim of this book is to make a mobile, wireless robot capable of following a pre specified object and also can be used as a surveillance robot. For achieving this task we have chosen raspberry pi as processing hardware with Raspbian OS. The Raspberry pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs to a TV or an HDMI monitor to view its interface. Camera Module attached to raspberry pi via cable into the CSI port of Pi The whole code for Object detection written in MATLAB. And this all processing has been done on raspberry pi which works on Raspbian OS based on Debian which is Linux OS. The total programming model is developed in MATLAB and using Simulink support package for Raspberry pi hardware.
The authors have vast experience on Embedded boards, Computer Vision and Machine Learning. They are certified trainers on Embedded boards "Raspberry pi and Arduino boards" by Andhra Pradesh Skill Development, Andhra Pradesh, India. They are specialized in handling academic project works.
